Author Jeanette Patindol signing "Tight Times"

"Jeanette" is my baptismal name, and what I consider my spiritual name, so it's the name I'm using for all my creative writing endeavors since books, reading, and literature are my first love and passion.  I want to honor my creative writing endeavors with my spiritual name.

I was a full-time Asst. Professor at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, Philippines for 23 years until July 2020.  It's also where I graduated with degrees in  A. B. Economics and  Master in Business Administration.

I have completed academic units for the degrees in Master in Conflict and Reconciliation Studies (with Pax Christi Institute) and Ph. D. in Business Management, but instead of completing my M.A. thesis and Ph.D. dissertation, I channeled my energies into my advocacies in cultural work and peace and development work.

I taught university courses in economics and business, cultural studies, futures studies, development studies, and communication in conflict.

Life is infinitely richer and more meaningful when you have people in your care to live for and be the best for.  These people are primarily my three treasures -- Anthea, Paolo, and Beatrice -- who have grown up beautifully into fine human beings, with their heads and hearts in the right places, and who have daily inspired and challenged me with their honest questions and big dreams as they were growing up.

I am passionate about leaving a better world than the one I've found, and multiplying the gifts I have received from God and others, so I "pay it forward" by volunteering for causes close to my heart-- books and storytelling, women, children, healthy living, and taking care of our planet.
